Genting 2006

Genting Day 1

This was our first trip overseas tog 2 years ago: 19/5/06-21/5/06. Yes we left on the 19th! Same date as our HK trip!

It was also my first trip abroad. : )

A short recap of our trip!

We met in the morning at 5 am plus to take Grasslands bus to Genting. It was a whooping 6 hrs ride! We stopped for lunch at a food court place and I bought the Malaysia version of Cleo.

When we finally reached Genting, our hotel lobby was very crowded. We stayed at First World Hotel. And as we were walking in the lobby, silly Dear has to step on my slippers and spoilt it! The slipper strap came out and there I was, shoes spoilt when I had barely begin my hol!

Since it was our first day and it was abt 3pm plus when we reached Genting, we spend the day walking around the shopping arcade and exploring the place.

Genting has their own imitation of the Paris Tower!

and this is how it looked like..with Dear in it trying to figure it out.

Later we went to their snow and ice park. Quite small but fun.

They even had an ice slide where u sit on a tyre and slide down. It was very fun sliding down but scary too cos the tyre anyhow slide and bump along the slide.

They even had an ice bar where they gave out free drinks.

We had fun blowing our breath out and trying to see if we can see white puffs of smoke. Hee.

After that we ate dinner and it was time to go back to the hotel room to rest.

Genting Day 2

We woke up and went to the theme park. I love the cool weather!

We tried a lot of the rides. : )

This was above the water ride. They had a little nice bridge that u can walk and look see at some greenary. I wanted to take the water ride but didn't in the end cos we didn't wan to get wet.

Tried some of the game stalls. My first time at archery! Of cos, I was lousy at it.

And it rained in the afternoon! : (

So sad that it rained and we couldn't try more of the rides. I was quite sian. We had to go indoors to hang around for the rest of the day. Lucky we found the Ripley's Believe it or Not exhibiton to see and entertain ourselves.

We returned to the park in the late afternoon and it was still drizzling so we can't do anything much.

So we went indoor again and entertained ourselves. We took the indoor rides like mini ferris wheel and monorail.

Genting Day 3

Last day here in Genting and we lugged our luggage around after checking out. We ate at this Chinese restaurant that was not particularly outstanding. Did some last minute shopping before we board the bus back.

When we came back, we stopped at Tuas checkpoint and I wanted to walk out to get a cab home. But alas, turned out that the public cannot walk out just like that cos there was no direct road outside and a policeman had to escort us out! So paiseh.

Dear and I finally got a cab and he sent me home first before travelling all the way to the east.

I missed playing with Dear!
