KL trip

At long last here is the post on our KL trip. My computer has been having problem accessing (still don't know how to fix it) and I was unable to blog earlier since Dear refused to help with the blog. I can only try to blog when I can use other computers.

Day 1

I stayed over at Dear's house the night before because we have to take the coach and leave Singapore early. Met up with the other Chelsea Singapore fan club members at Golden Mile Complex (we bought the travel package from them) and off we embark on the long journey.

The first pit stop where we bought some food and I bought a few magazines. Very cheap! And they were probably the best buy of my trip haha. I didn't buy much stuff during the trip as we didn't have much time for that and the prices were similar to Singapore.

After a six hour journey, we reached One World Hotel where the players stayed too. The players arrived a day earlier.

And the hotel lobby was full of Chelsea stuff.

Our room : )

It was bigger than I expected. Nice.

And the view from our room.

After getting a little rest, it was time to go for the player's training session. Meanwhile, the fans have crowded into the hotel and wait to catch a glimpse of the players when they come down from the lifts. Madness!

We tried to wait too but we had to go to the stadium before we saw them come down. The funny thing is, I was helping Dear to go back to the room to get a marker or the souvenier for their autographs when I saw the players in the lift!

I was waiting for the lift to go up to the room when the lift doors opened and I saw a packed lift. I didn't notice who was inside since I couldn't see at eye level (the players are much taller than me) so I walked forward and tried to squeeze into the lift.

A fat ang moh in the lift raised his hands to stop me. Surprised, I looked up and saw Diva Drogba! I then looked across the lift, but the lift doors were closing and everything was happening so fast, I didn't recognise anyone else in the lift. Though I saw a glimpse of golden hair and think that may be Toddy. Sigh!

One of the reasons why we signed for the trip with the fanclub was because they provided transport to the stadium. So convenient for us to reach and leave the stadium, especially when it gets so crowded after the sessons end.

Not much people attended the training session. But it was still quite interesting to watch them train, at least I try to be interested. Haha. Dear looked so attentive watching them train and imagining himself training.

When the training session finished at 9pm plus, the organisers brought us to Chinatown for dinner on the suggestion of the bus drivers who said there is still food outlets opened there at night.

After a long bus journey (probably 30-45 mins), we reached Chinatown but most of food were street food and there was nothing inspiring. So we chose KFC, which tasted lousier than Singapore's, I feel.

Then the start of the nightmare of the trip started, our drivers lost their way and more than hour to send us back to the hotel. We were dead beat. And the drivers will continue to bring us on merry go rounds during the trip :(

Day 2

The plan was to visit KLCC for some shopping in the morning and Sunway Lagoon in the afternoon. It took the bus abt 45 min to reach KLCC, which was just like an expensive Singapore shopping centre.

All the Addidas stores were painted blue.

After a yummy lunch at Madam Kwan's, we hanged arond a bit more before meeting up with the rest. We went back to our hotel to chill after the shopping because we didn't feel like going to the themepark.

And luckily we did, for the bus ride took abt an hour or more : ( So much time wasted! We wanted to go to the shopping centre beside our hotel to spend time but when we came down to the lobby, we saw other fans gathering around and heard that the players are coming down for a closed-door training session.

Dear's eye lit up and the plan was changed to waiting at the lobby for the players :p It turned out to be more than an hour wait and finally they came:

We got a good position at the start of the queue. Boss villa singing Dear's souvenier from Stamford Bridge. He got Frankie Lampard to sign too.

And the one who attracted the screams from the ladies: Toddy

The last one to come down for training: Diva Drogba who had a drool worthy body.

To be framed and hung up on the wall in our future home.

After getting the autographs we went to One Utama, the shopping centre beside our hotel, for dinner. Found this Jap restaurant that had a lot of people queuing outside, we decided to eat there.

The food was ok but relatively cheap. So that makes up for it, I guess.

Mayo baked scallops never fail. This was the yummiest dish of the night.

Then we went to TGIF to fulfil Dear's craving for ice cream and it was time to retire for the night.

Day 3

Even our Chelsea Bear (affectionately known as Chel Chel by me and Dear) needs a cup of coffee to perk himself up on day three of the trip.

The hotel buffet breakfast was quite good though, and the chefs made good dim sum. So I always looked forward to breakfast haha.

Because the group wanted to reach the stadium early for the match that night and to avoid wasting time if the drivers get lost again, the original plans to go shopping in the morning was cancelled. : (

So we just spend the time in the hotel room watching TV.

And finally, we reached the stadium at 3pm plus and waited for the gates to open. Many street vendors had set up shop.

Enthusiastic fans cheering to liven up the atmosphere and for the reporters covering the match.
The enthusiasim overflowed in the stadium too. But too bad Chelsea was rather lack lustre that night.
And Chel Chel made a new friend!
After the match, the driver brought us back to Chinatown again to get food. We ta-paoed Mac back to the hotel. Quite sad but no choice.

Day 4

Went to walk in One Utama after breakfast and finally tried basking robbins. It's good! Then we had to check out and were brought to another shopping centre to shop before going back to Singapore.

After we crossed the Tuas customs, the drivers were supposed to make a stop at Chinese Garden Mrt but they forgot and contined to drive down the highway. I raised the alert and managed to get them to stop at Buona Vista Mrt. Horrible drivers!
