Punggol Beach

We went to check on the construction progress of our house yesterday. More cranes and machinery have come in.

After viewing the land, Dear suggested to check out Punggol Beach, which has been nicely renovated into a recreation spot.

I was surprised to see a lot of people there. Didn't know the place is so popular! Lots of cyclists and families were around to enjoy the secluded nature spot.

There is even a police post at the beach on the jetty. Don't need to be worried about personal safety when you are in such a far flung area. I waned to take a photo of the police post but was stopped by the policeman. My first run-in with the police : (

 I find this a rather scenic place to take our wedding photos, no?

There was even an ice-cream seller, armed with lots of snacks, setting up shop in the formal carpark. Love the rustic feel of the place. ^ ^

Update to house

After hearing the good news that the tender for our BTO project has FINALLY been given out, we went to the plot of land to check on the progress.

Only a couple of small structures were built. But better than seeing an empty plot of land.

We then went to the Punggol Park to eat Popeyes' What else right. I was pleased to notice that there were new facilties there (prawning, futsal, billard) that we had not seen before. Nice place : )

We went to Sushi Tei for dinner on one of the days. Their sushi was still ok, but Dear proclaimed that he does not like the place anymore and would stop eating at it. Alamak where to eat our Jap food next time? Sometimes he can be so picky : (

House

We have finally booked our flat! It's at Punggol, beside the waterway. Now, I can only hope for the flat to be ready SOON!

Dear and I took a day off to go to HDB to settle the booking. After that, we went for a good meal to celebrate.

YUM YUM! Look at the thick slices of fish and the variety! I am drowling now.

The other popular item of the restaurant is their cod fish hotpot. It was yummy too!

The next day, we flew off for a hol before I start work at a new work place. Pics coming soon!

We finally managed to get a good queue number for a flat! : ) New flat will come in 2015!

Our new housing estate. Went to HDB hub to take a look at the model.

After that we went to have lunch at this stall that sells Canto rice that I've always wanted to try. Yummz.

And we wrapped up the day by going shopping and playing MJ at Dear's place. I won $30!!! Yippie end to the day!! : )
