Belated xmas

I have been thinking of getting a new wallet since the one I was using was looking very old. The wallet is abt 6 yrs old and the leather was looking tired. The threads at the corner were also getting frayed.

So I have been toying with the thot of getting a new one although virtuous Dear said he will still use the wallet since it is not spoilt.

The question that I was mulling over was, should I get a branded wallet since I have the chance to get a new one. One usually uses a wallet for a very long time so of cos I have to ponder over it.

In the end I decided to get a branded one since I'm inclining to reward myself and Dear decided to get one as my Xmas present.

The problem was we are still on a budget and although I have decided to get a Kate Spade Wallet (which is mid range designer brand), the wallet will still cost quite a bit.

So we have been hunting and waiting to get one at warehouse sales. After two failed attempts at getting a wallet at the warehouse sales, the opportunity finally came.

Last Friday, a last minute change in work schedule means that I was able to go to a warehouse sale that I only knew of last minute. (God really wanted me to get a wallet, I believe. Hee.)

Learning from past experience that kiasu ppl will be queuing at 7plus am before the sale starts at 9am, I woke up early to reach the sale at 8.40am. I had to wake up at 6.30am ok! I worked very hard just to get a wallet.

When I reached the sale, the organiser had already started it since there were customers waiting already. Lucky I was early lor, or else sure lugi.

After fighting the crowd and hot sun, I managed to go home with:

I bought it for $175. Not a bad deal I think. But it's bigger than my old wallet and has fewer card slots. So I'm still getting used to the new wallet.

One bad thing is the wallet is bigger so it occupies more space. I hope it will not be a big prob when I wan to carry small bags :p

On a side note: Dear is going to London again! And I'll be on leave! But I can't go as we want to save the money. Sigh. This will be Dear's third trip to London and I'll be abandoned for one whole week. So sad!

But it means that maybe I can get something from Bal? Since my birthday is coming soon in April, so it's quite 'timely' for Dear to go to London too. Hehehehehe. God is good to me, wahaha.
