Xmas 2011

Xmas day started off with brunch at this little haunt at Arab Street.

The decor was nice: Swedish minimalist chic. But service was quite bad. We were kept waiting for quite long before we got a seat, despite being the first customer of the day.

Food was also decent but the meatballs from Ikea can also do the job at a much lower price. LOL.

We also ordered a meat hash brown patty, which tasted just like the meatballs. :p

After lunch, we went to church and watched Puss in Boots at long last. Then it was off to a place for dinner which Dear had claimed that it would blow my mind.

The secret place was Black Sheep Cafe at the quaint area of Little India. Our foie gras appetiser. Yummz!

Duck confit. Thumbs up as well. The meat was tender while the outside was crispy.

And the pork chop! Ok, I don't think it's the actual name of the dish but I can't remember. The point is, the chops was flavorful and tender. With tasty veges on the side to accompany.

Chocolate cake dessert. Not mind blowing but still good enough.

We were greedy and ordered one more dessert: banana crepe. Dear didn't like it that much, but I like bananas, so I enjoyed it. Though I was too full with food by the time it was served to really enjoy it.

In all, I really liked the food and the restaurant is definitely a keeper. Best thing is that the restaurant doesn't charge GST and service tax, so it means a lot of savings! Our dinner only cost us $80+!

It is definitely the best restaurant that Dear has introduced me to, as far as I remember. So Dear, good job! Now I'm wondering when we'll come back again.
