For a long time, since the initiative started, I've always wanted to try it. But I never had the chance because of work. After my new found freedom, having a meal at Restaurant Week is no longer a dream.
We made a Saturday lunch reservation at B@Rochester becuase my top restaurant choices were fully booked by the time we wanted to make a booking.
Anyway, here's a trivial to spice up the reading of this post. If you think the name is weird for a restaurant, here's why: it's supposed to rhyme with 'be at Rochester'.
Get it, dear? I'm so knowledgable!
Arty farty shot, which I quite like, of one of the walls of the restaurant.
The salad starter, which was followed by mushroom soup, and of course I couldn't be bothered to take photo of it.
The tragedy of the lunch is that in our haste to make a booking, I had neglected that the restaurant's dinner menu (which was the one we reallywant to try) was not served at lunch time. We only realised it when we sat down and open the menu :p.
Nonetheless, we went ahead to order the lunch menu. I was half thinking of ordering ala carte.
Dear's teriyaki chicken with fried nice. His review: "well-executed chicken teriyaki and fried rice" that is "cooked with more heart than those at Aston's Grill".
My salmon. There's honestly nothing much to say abt it. The taste is just nothing good and nothing bad.
Another arty farty shot to interject the picture of good. Hurhur.
Dessert, which Dear said is too sweet. He took this picture, I think it's not bad. Makes the dessert looks much nicer than it did in real life. Haha.
