Dear's bday- Part 2

We have been going to JB more often after Dear convinced me that it is not as scary as I thought. I knew Dear wanted to have a short getaway for his bday so I planned a one night stay at Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour. It is a new hotel under the Shangri-La brand and near to Legoland.

The lobby of the hotel which has a marine theme.

Our nice and spacious room for a much more reasonable price than a similar room in Sg. Most hotel rooms are not even as big.

The bathroom

The very nice swimming pool(though the view is not that great) which we didn't get to use

After exploring the hotel, we went downstairs to the shopping atrium to look around. Hello Kitty Land is here too. So guess this hotel is very good for those who wants to visits these theme parks.

The yachts at the marine area on the ground floor.

A pity there wasn't much food choices and we wanted to save them for dinner and lunch the next day. So off we went to Bukit Indah for lunch and shopping!

We had a yummy Thai meal at Soul Thai- famous for its good food. In fact, I always want to eat here on our future trips to Bukit Indah.

The tom yum soup is really good- very spicy and not too sour. Very shiok. We also ordered a petai with squid because petai is always quite expensive in Sg.

And a pad thai to share which was not too bad too.

After some shopping, we went back to the hotel to rest for a while before going downstairs for an early dinner.

We went to Kenny Rogers because it seems generic enough for it not to taste too bad right? How bad can a roast chicken taste? But it was really bad. It is so hard to say why it can be so bad unless you taste it for yourself.

Bottom line: DON'T eat Kenny Rogers in Malaysia.

Dear had some chicken roll which we don't find it on the Singapore's menu. But it is also awful.

We went back to the room to wait for the bday cake that the hotel kindly sent up for Dear.

Two staff came with the cake, one holding it and one to light the candle. And they sang Dear a birthday song. It was hilarious. I love embarassing Dear like that.

Dear indulged himself with a soak in the bathtub and soon we were off to bed. Dear wanted to catch the Chelsea match but the pub downstairs wasn't showing it that night. I stayed up for him to see if the match will be on TV ok, while he just dozed off.

The next morning, Dear suggested going to the Premium Outlet before coming back to check out of the hotel.

We had a late breakfast at Tang Shifu after we reached the place. I didn't buy anything here but Dear bought quite a bit. Sometimes he can shop more than me one lor!

It was very hot to be under the direct sun for so long. Although maybe it was 2 hours plus lah.We went back to the hotel to pack up and check out.

Lunch was at this restaurant that is supposedly quite famous too.

Chicken soup which was quite good

Fermented stir fried pork, which was so so cos there wasn't enough meat in the dish lol.

Steamed egg which was nice too. Dear liked this. Dear said our lunch felt very healthy. Haha.

Time to drive for home after that. Time flies when you are having fun. I love hotel stays. And I hoped Dear enjoyed the little trip too!
