Today Dear and I went to queue at the famous Donut Factory in Raffles City. I had figured that the best time to queue for the donuts is in the morning before the shop opens where there are lesser people in front of you and you can better gauge the time. So since it's not often that we have a holiday and a free day, and with nothing to do, I suggested we go do what S'poreans so best- go queue. So poor Dear had to come with me to queue at 10.30am and wait for the shop to open at 12.30pm. But it's not being kiasu that we go so early, at abt 11 plus, the snaking queue had already started forming.
We bought 2 dozens, with all the flavours, and brought it back to Dear's house to eat. It was no mean feat bringing 4 boxes of donuts back on motorcycle!
Some of the donuts...
I must say I'm a disappointed as the donuts didn't taste as fantastic as I thot. Although the flavours are different from normal doughnuts, they don't have any impact at all. Though I must admit the doughnut itself is quite soft and fluffy. Dear says he is glad to hear that I'm not bowled over by the doughnuts. It means no more long hours of queuing! hehehe...
