Happy 17 months!

Today is our 17 months together! After going to church, we met up with my friends at Bugis and ate a lousy zi cha dinner. The restaurant is supposedly to be quite famous but really, the food was not very outstanding. We all spent some time walking in Bugis Street becos I said I needed to look for a bag for school. All my big bags are slowly spoiling. I eventually found one and bought it for $30, quite happy with it.

I think I'm eating a lot nowadays after finishing my hectic period where I dun even get to eat dinner. I'm always craving for food but I'm not likt eating a lot of quantity at each seating, I just likek to try a variety and take a few bites to taste. Dear is getting quite worried abt my eating, becos it means a hole in his wallet also, haha. After shopping, I suggested dessert and we decided to go to Chinatown for dessert. Again, the dessert was not nice. The durian dessert that Dear and I shared was too sweet while the mango dessert that my frens ate had too little juices. It's been so long since I get to go out and also meet up with frens, so I really enjoyed myself.

Yesterday, I went to Dear's house again after my morning project meeting becos we couldn't think of what to do. It's not easy staying out too much becos we wan to save money and sometimes I think we are a little too numb from work to really think abt playing. We just want to rest and slack together, have some quiet time. But I'm getting a little bored from all the homely activities. This weekend, Dear wants to cook Japanese curry rice. More time spent at home. I like to cook with Dear; it's fun but I wished we can try diff things too. It'd been a while since we do diff things.

The happy thing is that we went to Geylang to eat at night. I've always wanted to go there to eat since everyone says that the food is nice. The only thing is, I dun noe what is nice and Dear also dun noe. He only noe of a dim dum shop that he said is quite famous, so we went there to try. But the food was terrible. We tried the shark fin's dumpling and the dumpling actually was dry and the mixture actually stuck to the pastry skin. The fried dumpling was passable except that they had some weird tasting herb vege inside that I dun like. We tried the paper chicken which was not too bad and fried prawn dumpling thaat was quite crisp and a small saving grace to the meal.

The really-not-so fantastic dim sum

Hai, I think I'm getting occupational hazard. After working so ling in a food magazine, I'm really getting more and more critical of food..hehe...
