I met Dear on Thursday for dinner at IKEA becos he wanted to get new soccer shoes at Queensway Shopping Centre. It's been a long time since Dear and I go out for dinner on weekday nights, since I've been so busy for the past month. The feeling of going out to dinner was very nice and really did much to make the long working week feel better. Dear managed to find a pair of shoes that he liked and more importantly, had a good price!
On Sat, I went over to Dear's house cos he pestered me to cook Japanese curry with him. I think he's becoming addicted to cooking, he likes to meddle around in the kitchen with me and the greedy pig certainly likes to eat. So I met him after his usual Sat morning soccer and cooked with him. The curry turned outo quite good, although a bit too thick. I think it's because I had added too much potatoes and the potatoes cubes were smashed when I tried to stir the food in the frying pan.
Dear's family wanted to celebrate Mother's Day so all of them went out to eat dinner. I followed along cos Dear dragged me along. We went to Sakae Sushi Tepanyakki to eat. I didn't know that Sakae Sushi had a Tepanyakki outlet! I've always wanted to try tepanyakki, it always seem so cool to sit in front of the chef and watch him cook your food on the hotplate. The food was not bad but was very salty and after a while, I really feel a little sick of the food because of the saltiness. I got Dear to try the beef set which had foie gras so that he could try foie gras. Dear has never eaten this delicacy at all and after eating it, he said it was nice, haha. Though I'm not a big foie gras fan, but it is really very yummy and I always feel a sense of decadence when I eat it. The meal was very expensive too, it cost S$220 in total! So it means that Dear has to help share half of the bill with his brother, which is still a whooping S$110!
On Sun, we went church together and went to Orchard to walk walk and shop shop. Didn't get anything as I'm determined to save money and spend less. But it's been a long time since I walk walk with Dear Dear, so the feeling is quite nice, hee. Brainless window shopping!
Today I got a S$100 Indochine dining voucher from my compay to thank everyone for the hard work last month. I was so excited! Can bring Dear to eat good food and no need to pay a lot! Although this company is really quite a shitty place, this was really a nice gesture that warmed my heart a little. Just a little- before they made my blood boil again. I'm so looking forward to going there to have a nice dinner with Dear.
