I had quite a good weekend. Dear and I have submitted our internship reports and I'm just waiting for my internship to end. Dear will go back to work as a freelancer, so that's good. No more sleazy KTV job for him. And miraculousy, Dear has gotten his pay check early this month, so our money problems are solved for the time being. Thank God for that.
Yest Dear went to play soccer in the morning so I met him after that and travelled all the way to Expo to meet him. We wanted to visit the food exhibition and also the MPH warehouse sale. I read the shopaholic book on my way and it felt so good to have time to sit down and read. When I reached Expo, I realised that there was a Guardian sale there and we end up shopping there too. Haha. I've never know that one can shop in ulu Expo! We got some really good buys.
We bought cheap canned tuna that we want to use to make sushi, though I don't know when we'll do it. And at the book sale, I found 'Little Alters Everywhere', at only 5 bucks! A few months ago, I had found 'The Secrets of the Yaya Sisterhood' at the Times warehouse sale at 5 bucks and was ecstatic. It's one my favourite books, so, it was a super good buy. I was looking also for 'Little Alters Everywhere' as it was the sequel to the book but didn't find it. So, I really counted myself lucky to have found the two books! Dear was very sweet and helped me waited in the long cashier queue while I continued browsing around. Hee. At the Guardian Sale, we bought cheap contact lens solution and a facial foam kit that comes with a lip moisturiser and makeup bag. So, we bought some really good deals and there was also a navy open house that I wanted to visit but it was at another location so we didn't go and I missed out on seeing the handsome navy officers, wahaha.
And the Great Singapore Sale has started! I dragged Dear out today for a little while of shopping after church. I realised to my dismay that Pull and Bear, my favourite clothes shop, is not having a sale. ARGH. I really love their clothes and thought I could get some good buys, hmph. They have a new skirt that I really loved but was really short. I didn't buy since I can't wear skirts on Dear's bike. And plus it was quite ex, S$59.90.
The prints of the mini skirt looks like the shorts except that it's a skirt. I can't find the picture of the skirt version in their online catalogue. Hai, I've not bought a skirt for a year. Wanted to get a pair of slippers from Mphosis but they didn't have my size; everything was sold out in the sale. BUT, I walked past URS and saw this white and pink heels that were pretty cute. Dear said it was nice and I bought the heels in the end. Going to wear them tml to work, haha. Dear bought me to the Marche-alike place in Heeren to eat. He had a craving for rosti and wanted to bring me for a little nice treat. Dear ordered a pork cheese sausage along with his rosti.
Yum!
I was really quite irritated with my food.
It was only 2 small pieces of chicken and the person didn't even ask me if I want to add any sides to my dish. In the end, I bought another plate of pasta because I was still hungry. I was irritated becos I felt that I had wasted Dear's money esp when we are trying to save. It's not as if the place is very cheap. And the quality is not fantastic either. It's just like a high class hawker centre. Hai. Should have eaten other stuff. I volunteered to help pay for some of the cost so that Dear won't have to spend so much. Anyway, after my internship in mid june, I think I'll be out of a job and living off Dear, haha.
But I had a good weekend cos Dear and I did many things together. I think I have been too bored. Next Sat, I have a Mayday concert to attend, so happy! Things are looking up for once.
The only thing to spoil my mood? SPH just emailed me that they don't have internship vacanies for me. Damn.
