Hk Day 6

HK Day 6

It's our last day in HK, sobz. We woke up, hurried into Disneyland again to buy the merchandise and hurried back to the hotel to check out. Breakfast was a sad meal of cup noodles. Why so sad?

Becos we are going to eat buffet lunch at Chef Mickey restaurant! We had made a reservation for it the night before.

Although we checked out, we left our bags with the staff and went to the restaurant to eat.

I think I've never eaten a buffet tog with Dear. Except for once at Sakae Sushi, I guess

Mickey shaped lighting!

The decor

With Disney drawings on the walls

Pity they dun have Disney characters to interact with the guests

Cosy in-ur-own-world seats

Lots of families eating there

Our first round of food. After that, I was too busy eating to take anymore photos, wahaha.

The food was not fantastic but quite decent. Dear said that he ate so much until he felt like puking. Tsk tsk.

They also had Disney shaped biscuits that were quite tasty and buttery. We even saw a mother packing back some of the cookies, so funny. First time we see ppl packing food back from a buffet. Maybe her kid is a super huge fan of Mickey.

The fun thing was that you can make ur own ice cream from the ice cream machine. I made this!

Even the chairs in the hotel are Mickey-designed. Took this while waiting for the bus to take us to the MTR stop.

Disney MTR stop!

Everything is intricately designed

Very high railings, scared kids run out?

Everyone stand back, the train is coming in!

The special Disney train. Taking the train is a magical journey by itself

Besides plush seats, they also have Disney trophies all around the train

Everyone started taking photos in the train as soon as they got in, quite a funny sight

And the reality hits when u step out of the train. We are transported to some retro looking train station

But the standing area still looks quite nice though. Got an outskirts feel

We went to Tung Cheng outlet store to shop and kill some time before we are supposed to go to the airport. I think we are quite amazing, we dragged our luggage around the whole place cos there was no where that we can deposit our luggage. Quite stupid customer service though. If a small shop like Espirit can help us deposit our luggage, I dun see why such a big modern shopping centre that is near the airport cannot help us.

Although we didn't buy anything cos everything sold were branded and out of our budget but it really is a good place to shop if u are into expensive stuff. Most of the stuff were discounted at 50%.

After shopping, we went to the airport to check in

The whole check in and departure process was very rushed although we went abt 1.5 hrs beforehand to the airport. I just dun understand how the time seemed to rush by.

We checked in and rush to buy Krispy Kreme donuts, newspapers and mags, and last buys at the Disneyland shop in the arrival hall. I even asked Dear to go buy dinner from Cafe de Coral to bring back to Sg, haha.

We had to rush back to departure hall to buy more snacks like lao puo bing and we wanted to check out the Disneyland shop within the departure gates. BUT...we were so late that we had to literally run to the boarding gate so we had to give up that idea. I noe, we sound like Disney freaks, but it's becos we didn't buy some of the merchandise that we wanted from Disneyland.

It's no joke carrying so many plastic bags and running ok. Somemore they were food items. And it didn't help that the big Disney carrier that we were using kept tearing. Dear was quite freaked out and scared that we might miss our flight.

And cute me made ppl laugh again. This time it was the customs ppl. When we wanted to go through customs, they look at our Cafe De Coral dinner suspiciously and asked what it is. Dear innocently tried to tell them 'Oh, it's from Cafe de Coral..Cafe..de..Coral'. I was thinking heck lah, where got time to slowly explain. So I butt in and said 'It's Shao La Fan (roasted meats rice)". And all the customs officers started going 'Orh', nodding their heads and started laughing.

I think either I must have looked silly to wan to elaborate on wat's my dinner or they must think we are so funny to wan to bring back such a simple dish to Sg.

But well, we were let in easily without any more hassle. ^ ^

And then it was a flight back to Sg.

Hai, so sad the hols are over! Miss all the shopping and eating and playing!

So fun! Can't wait for the next hols!
