1) Dear's helmet got stolen at Wheelock Place open air car park! I had managed to meet Dear for dinner and when we went back to Dear's motorcycle, one of his helmets were gone! And it was a gift that his colleagues had given him, sadz.
And it was 10 plus already, imagine having to take the train back myself since we were short of one helmet. Dear insisted that I took a cab home, but after almost half an hour of fruitless waiting, I gave up and took public transport home. These ppl who stole the helmet are not only greedy but also inconsiderate! Hello, ppl bring two helmet out becos there are two ppl ok.
2) Before walking back to discover that the helmet was missing, we met this incredibily rude salesman when we were at Wisma to change my handphone battery. It is already sad enough that I have to rush down after work to run this kind of errand and spend $58 and still receive rude treatment.
3) On another night that Dear met me after work for dinner, it rained! And we both got soaking wet on the motorcycle. It's really not fun to be caught in the rain.
And maybe there are more smaller incidents, but all that is bad enough.
I really have to cut down on the amount we spend on food. We've eating quite a lot of money since we felt that we meet so little and we should pamper ourselves. Well, time to start saving too!
Remember the bear that Dear bought for me? It's in my office now!
Last Sat was our gradution ceremony. It's quite sweet that Dear and I are graduating tog. It's only a little regret that I didn't take photos with as many frens as I would like. I didn't even take a lot of photos with Dear.
Dear bought me a graduation bear! And he creatively named it Clever Bear. Oh well. Wahaha.
It was sweet of Dear to get me a graduation bear although he did it becos we were walking past the stall and I said: "Dear never buy any bear for me." :p
After the ceremony, I brought Dear to Kbox's KTV buffet and we had fun eating and drinking. Haha. Although it was quite ex, I was happy that Dear enjoyed himself. And we ate a lot of scallops to get our money's worth. Haha, I kept feeding Dear with scallops. I think we ate about 20 between us.
But it's kind of a weird feeling to graduate, moving into the work force, with no more sch. I have to learn to be an adult now.
Today, after some lengthy discussion with Dear on where to eat (becos he never can come up with new exciting ideas), we finally decide to go to Ya Kwang at Geylang since I've always wanted to try.
And we tried their specialty: Crab Tung Hoon
Nice photo ya, wahaha. I thot the colours were quite nice
At $40, the crabs were quite succulent and good. But I didn't noe how to appreciate the tung hoon though. The tung hoon was special: thick and springy, and taste of the savoury broth, but the taste did not quite appeal to my palete and there were parsley used inside. And I hate parsley. Dear said he didn't taste the parsley but I'm quite sure they are somewhere there.
We also ordered a set of kway chup and it was good too. Although the stall started off selling kway chup and was famous for it, the dish is no longer the highlight of the stall. But upon tasting it, I can understand why they were famous, even Dear likes it.
All the ingredients were very soft and had a nice chewy texture. The sauce was not overly salty and the chili was both sweet and spicy at the same time. It's not the usual kway chup chilli, it really has a kick while retaining some sweetness. And the best thing was that they served shredded duck and the duck was fantastic! Soft and savoury! I'm definitely going back there to eat the kway chup again! And we must try the other zichar dishes too! They are supposedly supposed to be good too.
Now u noe why I say we must spend less on food! More good food but cheap pls!
