Day 4 of our trip had the least photos as we were busy shopping. We went back to Platinum again and had a brunch of our fav KFC drumlets and oyster omelette. :p
After the day of shopping, we went back to the hotel for a break before making our way to Asiatique. We wanted to take the taxi there because Dear doesn't like to travel by boat. He always finds it dangerous with so many people being packed into the boat. What if the boat gets too heavy and what if they don't have enough life jackets, Dear said.
We were eventually persuaded to take the free shuttle boat as our hotel stuff told us that the cab ride to Asiatique would take 2 hours in the Friday evening traffic. *gasps*

A 10- minute boat ride later, we reached Asiatique. Once you disembarked, you will see a row of sea-fronting restaurants beckoning you to eat at them.
Walking into the shopping area. But first, we needed to look for dinner.
We eventually settled on a Thai restaurant. Think it is called Yum Yum. It is a chain restaurant, and honestly,it doesn't look too good, but I wanted to eat as much Thai food as I can get before returning home.
We ordered the omelette, green curry and tom yum soup. Another first: we tried the sticky rice. Yes I know this sounds really lame but we really haven't tried having sticky rice with our food except for desserts. My conclusion: I think I will like my normal fluffy rice better.
After dinner, we walked through the maze of shops. Most stuff here are more expensive but we still managed to score some items for our house- a red heart-shape plate that I hand carried back home and am really glad I did because it is still the only plate that we have now at home, a few wooden display plates and a moose-head display case. :)
But sadly, we feel that we have outgrown the place. Not sure if we will be back on the next trip!
