When Christmas rolled around last year, we were still recovering from the running around for our wedding and were in the midst of renovations. So helpful me took the initiative to make plans. So I decided on a staycation since we were unable to go off on a break. And so I chose to go back to our trusty fav place, Capri at Fraser, where we can just chill and do nothing.
Our room. Selling point of Capri by Fraser is that it comes with a small kitchenette.
Our bed
And a living area also.
The spacious toilet
I booked the Christmas staycation package which came with a dinner set and a free mascot. The free mascot was ehm, less cute than I thought. :( Come to think of it, I think it is still in one of the unpacked boxes sitting around in the house. LOL.
I mentioned the idea of the staycation wa to chill and give ourselves a break. In the end, it turned out that we (or rather Dear) spent the whole day in front of the laptop settling our Taobao purchases. SIGH. I really wanted to go to the pool but 'work' is more impt, I guess. So we ended up booking a room just so that we have the time and space to sit down and sort out our admin stuff.
Til today, we are still wrapping up the ends ofour reno, and just wrapped up a third round of buys from Taobao. The time invested in the house is really OMG!
I was the chef of the night and Dear only stopped when dinner is served. Dinner was a serving of salmon and steak, pumpkin soup and cakes for dessert. All these were part of the staycation package and we have to whip them up in the kitchenette.
Ok lah, Dear was a hero helping with settling the Taobao stuff but he was secretly feeling quite happy doing all the online shopping lor.
So that concludes our Christmas last year. All work and no play makes it a dull Christmas!
Note: Guess that is a sign of how marriage life is going to be. OOPS.
